I guess it's best to try to remember him as the cute little kid with the high-pitched voice from the Jackson 5 days, and as the talented young man who released the classic albums 'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller.' The Michael Jackson of the later years--the gigantic ego and the megalomaniac behavior (can anyone forget the huge statue of himself he had erected and floated down a river in Europe to promote an album?)--now, that was a person who baffled and even disgusted me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hK3Y1Ehv9c

Thats a good one! I can't believe he is gone, he was a weird one but still I can't believe it. Oh and Farrah Fawcett too, absolute craziness! My mom is saying it always happens in groups of 3's so she is waiting to see who number 3 is, not sure i believe that. Mind blowing is what it is.

Poor Farrah - her passing has been overshadowed by Michael's sudden death.
And, all this talk of cardiac arrest and sudden death had me feeling terribly jittery earlier. It's not like I was about to have a panic attack, but I was feeling uncomfortably nervous and ended up taking half of a Xanax. I felt a little silly doing it, but it was my first Xanax in months, so I guess it's okay (and it did help :)

Well, this is crazy (though not entirely unexpected): Michael Jackson is suddenly a bestselling artist again. I just looked at Amazon, and the top 14 bestselling CD's as I type are all by Michael Jackson or The Jackson 5.
Why weren't all these people buying these Michael Jackson CD's BEFORE he died? I never understand this sort of phenomenon...

David,
People are crazy that's why they are engaging in this behavior. I am in shock that he is dead and I think his weird behavior is due to the fact that he must have been a severely troubled soul. I'm not sure! I am so sad about Farrah Fawcett's death too. No one is even talking about her since Michael died on the same day she did. Yesterday was such a crazy day. No one in class could stop talking about MJ.

Lezlie,
The talking will probably go on for quite some time. It was pretty much the only topic of discussion at work this morning (and none of these people are even fans). And, the media are not going to let go of this story anytime soon, regardless of whether or not there is any actual new info to report. It IS a big story, but the coverage can get tiresome, and other deserving news events tend to get pushed aside.
